What it does

Exams, terms and events — one calendar everyone can trust.

DOS-owned exam series

An exam series moves through draft, published, marks-open, approved and released — owned by the director of studies.

Projected windows

Exam windows and fixtures project onto the school calendar automatically, so there is nothing to enter twice.

Audience-scoped views

Parents, students and staff each see the calendar that concerns them, with an iCal feed they can subscribe to.

Holiday and term exams, one pipeline

Holiday tests reuse the same grading and report pipeline as term exams — no separate, parallel machinery.

Why it’s different

Exams flow into one grading pipeline.

Whether it’s a term exam or a holiday test, marks enter the same UNEB-correct grading pipeline and land on the same report card. The exam series has a real lifecycle the DOS controls — so “released to parents” means exactly that, not a manual scramble.

Holiday and term exams flow into the same UNEB-correct grading pipeline.

DraftPublishedMarks openApprovedReleased

The director of studies owns the series. “Released” means released — to the exact audience, on the same report pipeline as term exams.

The artifact

A term, projected.

The exam-series lifecycle as states, and the windows they project onto the month — one source of truth, everywhere it’s needed.
