Promotion · 2026
S2 West → S3 East · recorded
An auditable episode — last year stays intact, nothing overwritten.
What it does
Every student journey, kept as history — never overwritten.
Admissions
Intake with guardian pairing, emergency contacts and biometric consent — deduplicated against the existing roll.
Promotion and progression
Promote, repeat or graduate a cohort as an auditable episode, with year-bound classes that don’t collide.
Transfers
Move a student in or out with their record intact — nothing destroyed, the history preserved on both sides.
A full per-student history
See a child across every year they were here, as a clean timeline of episodes rather than one mutable row.
Why it’s different
Episodes, not a mutable row.
When a student is promoted, most systems overwrite last year. Here, enrolment is a sequence of year-bound episodes — so the history is always intact, every transition is auditable, and a transfer or a repeat leaves a clean record instead of a hole.
Year-bound enrolment episodes mean clean history, not a single mutable row.

The artifact
One student, every year.
An enrolment timeline: S1 through graduation as discrete episodes, each with its class, its year and its reason — the record nothing overwrites.
